Background
“Island Road Government Primary School” will be closed in 2024, by using the concept of “Co-living”, this programme is planning to transfer the primary school complex into a co-living space of not less than 200 units after the termination. The complex will be operated by the school, students will be invited to stay in the complex. One of the occupants will be students from PTCC, and another party from the community will be invited to stay with the students. Throughout the stay, the students will collaborate with different stake holders, using the primary complex to host communal activities.
Throughout this research, by gathering different opinions from different stake holders, it is aimed to propose the future expansion of the school campus, selecting the suitable co-living partner for the students, possible communal activities that could be hosted, and the living space requirement.
